The Fountain

I never set out to be a movie reviewer. My wife and I just thought that it would be fun to review all the movies in our collection. Yes, I have by now written several hundred reviews, but once in a while I still encounter a movie of such overwhelming power and beauty that I am utterly overwhelmed. This movie is such a pristine work of art that it feels like it would be sullied by any attempt to codify it and classify it and capture it with words. It is better just to see it for yourself and let it wash over you so that you become a part of Darren Aronofsky’s brilliant, exquisite master work.
