Die Hard
We have one last movie series to watch before our movie a day project comes to a close, and while it may not be the best or brightest it does have some fun bits, especially this first movie. You know how the Star Trek TNG episode “Starship Mine” is described as “Die Hard on a space ship?” (Sure you do!) Likewise Under Siege was “Die Hard on a battleship.” Well this movie is Die Hard in a skyscraper and although it did not actually create the trope of a lone guy killing off a large collection of armed invaders one by one it is certainly the one that most famously popularized the genre. It also took that balding guy from the romantic comedy TV show Moonlighting and made him a massive box office star.
